Located in Fort Worth, Texas, the Western Currency Facility (WCF) Public Tour and Visitor Center is a great place to learn about U.S. currency. Visitors can see billions of dollars printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor! Two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing are available before or after the free self-guided tour. The tour includes a high-definition theater film, and the Moneyfactory Gift Shop. Restrooms and vending machines are available.
Reservations are not required, and visitors are welcome on a first come, first served basis. Visitors should allow an additional 30 minutes to clear WCF security. The tour itself is approximately 45 minutes along the quarter-mile elevated walkway.
The Public Tour and Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The last tour walkway entrance is at 4:30 p.m.
